Hi everyone!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature / weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. The theme this week is Top Ten 2016 releases I meant to read but didn’t get to (but TOTALLY plan to).
As you may be aware, I have a really bad habit of acquiring books and then not reading them. It was quite difficult to limit this post to ten books, but here are some of the 2016 releases that I am quite determined to read in 2017. The covers all link to Goodreads if there are any you want to add any to your TBR 🙂
I read Vicious and A Darker Shade of Magic in 2016. I now want to read every book by VE Schwab and these are next on the list.
I saw the cover, read the description and just had to have this book. Now I just need to read it.
This is one series I have kept fairly up to date with. This book was given to me as a Christmas present and I am hoping to read within the next couple of months.
Illuminae was my last read of 2016 and I loved it. I am sooo excited to read this one, but am trying to hold out until May / June.
I became aware of this book through BookTube, and am really keen to get reading.
In 2016 I read The Grisha Trilogy and really enjoyed it. I had to have this book when it came out, but need to read Six of Crows first 😊
I am intrigued by this one – this will most likely be my next read.
I read Everything, Everything last year. I did have some problems with it, but am still keen to give this one a try.
I am so excited to get a peak into Neil Gaiman’s brain – this is the sort of book I will read slowly and carefully and it will no doubt provide lots of creative motivation.
Have you read any of these books? What would your Top Ten be? Let me know in the comments below.

I wanted to read The View from the Cheap Seats too! Must make time for it this year!
My TTT focuses on fantasy reads.

I haven’t read any of these either – and really want to! I have only just read Illuminae this month… I probably need a year to catch up on 2016 books. My TTT

I’m only just getting round to A Darker Shade of Magic, but it’s a given that I’ll need to catch up on A Gathering of Shadows this year – I’ve been totally sucked in!

There are quite a few books on this list I still need to get to, too! I actually haven’t even read Illuminae and Six of Crows yet, but I’m definitely planning on doing that this year. I hope you’ll enjoy all of these!

Gemina was pretty good but I didn’t think it was as good as Illuminae. I hope you get to these!

I must admit that when I pulled the list together I was thinking – why on earth have I not read this already? – I intend to correct that fairly soon. Glad to hear that it is a good book.
